Uploading and Publishing Your Film:

After your account is activated, follow the steps below to ensure maximum success. 

 

Updating your channel information:

  1. Click on the Account Icon located in the top right corner of the screen.

  2. Select "MY ACCOUNT" from the menu. This will take you to your channel settings page.

  3. Update your channel details:

  1. Channel Name: Enter the desired name for your channel.

  2. Profile Picture: Upload an image to represent your channel.

  3. Channel Art: Upload a larger image that will appear as your channel banner.

  4. Biography: Write a brief description about yourself or your channel's content.

  5. Social Media Links: Add links to your social media profiles and website (excluding video platforms like YouTube or Vimeo). Please note, links to video platforms (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) are not allowed and will be removed.

Encoding your videos:

  1. Click the camera icon: Locate the camera symbol in the top right corner of the navigation bar and click it.

  2. Select "Encode Video": Choose this option from the menu that appears.

  3. Enter video details: Fill out the following information: 

    1. Title: Enter the title of your short film.

    2. Logline (190 characters max): Provide a brief summary of your film's plot.

    3. Genre/Category: Select the appropriate genre/category from the dropdown menu.

Uploading your videos:

  1. Click on "+Add Files" and browse your device to locate your video file.

  2. Alternatively, drag and drop your video file directly into the uploader.

  3. Supported formats: .mp4

  4. Maximum file size: 3 GB

Editing your videos:

  1. Access "My Videos": Navigate to the "My Videos" section on the homepage (left or right navigation bar).

  2. Locate your video: Find the video you uploaded recently.

  3. Editing options: You'll see five icons next to your video:

    1. Play Button: Play your video to review it.

    2. Document Symbol: Copy and embed your video on other websites.

    3. Trash Can Symbol: Delete your video.

    4. Pen Symbol (title and Description): Edit your video title, logline, genre/category, and choose a rating.

    5. Custom Thumbnail (Film Poster): Upload a thumbnail image that represents your short film. (1920x1080 jpg format, maximum size 250 KB)

    6. Subtitles and Closed Captions:

      1. Upload Subtitles: If you have existing subtitles, click "upload," choose the language, and save. (we accept .SRT and .VTT only)

      2. Create Subtitles: If you don't have subtitles, this option allows you to create them directly.


IMPORTANT: Our team will screen your short film before it goes live to ensure that it meets our upload guidelines. Once this process is complete, your film will be live within 3-6 hours.
